Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Guard/Screener for our Indianapolis logistics location. You will monitor access, screen people and materials, and report incidents while providing exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by following site procedures and security protocols.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, deliveries, and packages and report prohibited items or irregularities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and shipping documents, and limit access to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols to identify unauthorized access and security concerns.

As a Screener in a fast‑paced logistics and distribution location, you will help support security‑related operations by monitoring access, screening people and materials, and reporting unusual activity. You will remain visible to help deter incidents while providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access‑control protocols, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, deliveries, and packages in accordance with established site procedures and report prohibited items, irregularities, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and shipping‑related documentation as assigned, and help maintain orderly access to restricted operational areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate contacts according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unauthorized access, damaged property, and other security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• X‑ray screening experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
