Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Threat Screening in Indianapolis, IN, for a Part-Time role. You will use X-ray screening and access-control procedures at a logistics and distribution location to identify concerns, protect people and property, and maintain a safe environment.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs. is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks as required by law.
• Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and/or vehicles in accordance with site procedures and access-control requirements.
• Monitor entry points and screening equipment for prohibited items and irregular activity; report concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.


• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and/or vehicles in accordance with site procedures and access-control requirements.


• Monitor entry points, screening equipment, and designated areas for prohibited items, irregular activity, and/or unauthorized access; report concerns through established channels.


• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
