Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard Part Time Bicycle Patrol Driver in Cary, NC. You will protect and assist students, staff, visitors, and community members while patrolling on bike and vehicle, maintaining a visible presence and responding to incidents.

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry points, visitor activity, and restricted areas in accordance with established school procedures; report unusual conditions or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and contacting emergency services when needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain professional communication with school administrators, staff, law enforcement, and Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Officer supporting a public education location, you will conduct routine unarmed patrols by bike and vehicle, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication to students, staff, and visitors while representing Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.28 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 08:00 AM - 04:30 PM
• Sun 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Must be able to ride a bike.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
