Job summary

Allied Universal in Cary, NC is seeking a Security Guard Full Time Bicycle Patrol to protect students, staff and visitors on a public education campus. You will ride a bike, perform routine patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents with professionalism.

Qualifications

• Must be able to ride a bike.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

• Background check and drug screen required by employment.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents and patrol activities.

Pay Rate: $15.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 08:00 AM - 04:30 PM
• Tue: 08:00 AM - 04:30 PM
• Wed: 08:00 AM - 04:30 PM
• Thur: 08:00 AM - 04:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at educational facilities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate school personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to support an orderly environment for students, staff, and visitors.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrol activities, and other security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be able to ride a bike.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
