Allied Universal in Cary, NC is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Bicycle Patrol Driver to protect students, staff, and visitors across educational campuses. You will perform bicycle patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents with professional conduct.

• Must be able to ride a bike.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Age: 18+ for unarmed; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or community members while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at an educational campus.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report suspicious behavior or policy violations, and document incidents using required reporting procedures.
• Support a welcoming learning environment by maintaining a professional presence and communicating observations to appropriate school personnel and Allied Universal supervision.

This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Must be able to ride a bike.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
