Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol) in Cary, NC to monitor school facilities, welcome students and staff, and deter incidents with a visible presence. This role supports a safe, welcoming campus environment.

You will conduct patrols, control access, respond to incidents, and complete clear incident reports while following campus procedures. Schedule includes Saturday and Sunday 6:00 AM–2:00 PM; prior security experience and a high school diploma are

Responsabilidades

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and administrators by following site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events with calm professionalism; notify proper personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; report suspicious activity and maintenance concerns per campus procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain professional communication with staff and leadership.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a public school environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide courteous communication to students, staff, and visitors. You will respond to security-related concerns, document observations, and support a welcoming atmosphere. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.59 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sun: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and administrators by carrying out site-specific procedures, school policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate school personnel and emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, parking areas, athletic fields, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with campus procedures; report suspicious activity, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to designated personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain professional communication with school staff, students, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Supervisory experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
