Pay rate is $22.66 per hour. Schedule: Mon 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM and Fri 02:00 PM - 09:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Armed security experience: at least 1 year.
• Armed guard card or license required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control or badge experience preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screening required where permitted.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations following site protocols.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of the location to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry per site procedures.
• Document observations and incidents, and communicate to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Security Patrol Services in Jacksonville, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.66 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Mon: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

Fri: 02:00 PM - 09:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the healthcare location, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site‑specific procedures while maintaining a professional presence.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
