Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard Part Time Access Systems Operator in Memphis, TN to protect clients across healthcare locations. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and help create a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen where required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures and site policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, manage visitor access, and maintain logs.
• Respond to incidents and access concerns in a calm, professional manner and notify relevant personnel.
• Conduct regular patrols of entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Support a professional healthcare environment by communicating site policies and reporting issues.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, manage visitor access, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Support a professional healthcare environment by providing directions, communicating site policies, and reporting maintenance, access, and security-related issues to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
