Job summary

Allied Universal in Lake Havasu City, AZ is hiring a Security Guard to protect client sites across industries and to provide excellent customer service. You will monitor premises, patrol areas, and respond to incidents as part of a dedicated security team.

The ideal candidate has 6+ months of security experience, an AZ driver's license with a clean record, and a guard card if required. You must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of security experience.
• Arizona driver's license for over one year with a clean driving record.
• Guard card/license if required by Arizona DPS.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform patrols.
• Work outside in the elements.
• Basic ability to use computers, radios, cameras, access-control systems, and incident-reporting software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Complete daily activity logs and incident reports.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, or rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while enforcing safety procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents calmly and solve problems as they arise.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the site and perimeter.

Pay Rate: $20.50 an hour.

The Ideal Candidate would have

• 6+ months of security experience.
• Arizona Driver's license for over one year - with a clean driving record
• Valid guard card/security officer license if required by Arizona DPS
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods and conduct regular patrols
• Work Outside in the Elements
• Basic ability to use computers, radios, cameras, access-control systems, and incident-reporting software
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Complete daily activity logs, incident reports, visitor records, and other required
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, or rotating shifts may be required

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
