Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard Lobby Ambassador in Los Angeles, CA. You will provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff while conducting patrols and monitoring access to deter incidents and maintain a welcoming environment.

The position is full-time with a pay rate of $22.60 per hour. You will work a schedule that includes day and evening shifts, receive training, and join a team focused on safety, integrity, and service.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• State/local security license preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and building staff by carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter zones to identify conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; report unauthorized access or maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies following established protocols and contacting emergency services as needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain logs of patrols, incidents, observations, and concerns.

As a Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and building staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures; report unauthorized access, suspicious activity, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting emergency services and/or site contacts as needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
