Job summary

Pilgrim's is seeking a Security Guard Lead to oversee security operations and cover the Security Supervisor in their absence. The role includes monitoring plant activity, performing hourly rounds, and enforcing company policies.

The ideal candidate has strong English communication skills, basic computer proficiency, and the ability to work in varying conditions across multiple shifts. Security experience is a plus, with a high school diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and speak in English; bilingual a plus.
• Strong computer skills preferred.
• Ability to walk more than one mile on varying terrain, in all weather, both up and down stairs.
• Ability to perform assigned tasks without direct supervision.
• Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally.
• Attention to detail.
• Professional attitude at all times.
• Ability to work any shift.
• Security experience a plus.
• Minimum high school diploma or GED.

Fri/Sat 7:00 pm - 7:00 am

Responsibilities

• Monitors plant activity.
• Hourly rounds: checking trailer temps, room temps, and gates.
• Monitors all associates entering and exiting buildings, including car traffic.
• Answers switchboard after hours.
• Billing loads.
• Follows and implements company policies.
• Operates company‑owned vehicles if needed.
• Inspects trailers for cleanliness and operability as they enter the facility.
• Receives shipments of supplies and raw materials.
• Fills in the Security Department where needed.
