Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Chattanooga, TN. The role emphasizes fixed anchor shifts with earnings potential through additional shifts via the scheduling platform.

You’ll provide patient, visitor, and staff security in a healthcare setting, respond calmly to emergencies, perform patrols, and document activities for leadership review.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen are required by policy.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations following facility protocols.
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor compliance with entry procedures.
• Document incidents and communicate information to leadership and site personnel.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Hospital Incident Response in Chattanooga, TN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following facility protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor compliance with facility entry procedures while maintaining a professional and compassionate presence.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
