Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Healthcare Security Officer in Chattanooga, TN. You will provide security and customer service to patients, visitors, and staff, perform regular patrols, and respond to incidents with professionalism.

A valid driver’s license and hospital vaccination compliance are required. You will work a part-time schedule with day/evening shifts, and opportunities to advance through our shift-claim platform.

Qualifications

You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide compassionate customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Assist with visitor access procedures, directions, and policy compliance while maintaining a professional and compassionate presence.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
