Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Hospital Campus Patrol in Chattanooga, TN to safeguard patients, staff and visitors within a healthcare setting. You will perform unarmed patrols, manage access control, and provide exceptional customer service while adhering to hospital policies and safety procedures.

This full-time role requires calm, professional conduct in varied situations and the ability to work a daytime 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM schedule.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, patient or visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, directions, and facility access procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Hospital Campus Patrol in Chattanooga, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You may assist with sensitive situations, including interactions involving restrained individuals and morgue areas, while collaborating with hospital staff. What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Must be able to receive required hospital vaccines.
• Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
