Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Patrol Inspector in San Jose, CA to protect clients across Tech/Media/Telecom sites. You will monitor facilities, deter incidents, verify credentials, and document activities with professional communication.

This role requires at least two years of security experience, ability to lift, and a valid Guard Card or license. The position offers night shifts, competitive pay, and access to Allied Universal’s training and benefits.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of security-related experience.
• Ability to lift over 20 pounds (preferred).
• Guard Card or license (preferred).
• Customer service experience (preferred).
• Comfort using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology/semi conductor manufacturing location by following site-specific security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, production areas, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, maintaining accurate access-related documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies per procedures and notify appropriate personnel.
• Complete detailed activity and incident reports and maintain shift handoff communications.

Pay Rate: $26.50 / Hour

• Tue: 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM
• Fri: 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM
• Sat: 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM
• Sun: 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology and semiconductor manufacturing location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, production areas, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, unauthorized access, and/or potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate access-related documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures and promptly notifying appropriate personnel.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff communications while maintaining a professional presence at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Be able to lift more than 20 pounds, preferred.
• Possess a Guard Card or license, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
