Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, exterior areas, parking locations, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and/or facility concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor credentials as required, and document entries, incidents, and observations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel when needed.
• Maintain clear communication with site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency responders while completing accurate activity and incident reports.

As a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Patrol in Suffolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and deliver exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
