Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard (unarmed) at a hotel and resort location in Oxon Hill, MD. The role includes monitoring premises, assisting guests, and supporting access control with a focus on safety and friendly service.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hotel and resort grounds, guest areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and report concerns.
• Respond to guest concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and general information, and report unauthorized entry or policy violations.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with site management, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents and daily activities.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
