Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Guard - Full Time - Overnight in Elk Grove Village, IL to serve clients across Tech/Media/Telecom and more. This unarmed patrol role emphasizes visible presence, customer service, and adherence to site procedures.

You will perform regular patrols, verify credentials, respond to incidents, and produce patrol and incident reports.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law; drug screen required; licensing may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, directing guests as needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations following emergency protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, timely reports of patrols, incidents, and observations.

Pay Rate: $25.25 / Hour

• Tue: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Wed: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Thur: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Fri: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, access concerns, and property conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures; verify credentials and direct guests to appropriate locations as needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, timely reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
