Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Alarm Panel Operator in Aurora, IL to provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while enforcing site policies and emergency procedures.

You will perform regular patrols, monitor access points, verify credentials, respond to alarms with calm professionalism, and document incidents and observations to help maintain a secure, welcoming environment for a technology, media, and telecom location.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid security license preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Background check and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors while following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access by verifying credentials and directing visitors per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly and notify contacts per procedures.
• Prepare clear reports and maintain logs of patrols and events.

As a Security Officer Full Time Alarm Panel Operator in Aurora, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and alarm response activities. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and help create a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $24.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM
• Fri 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM
• Sat 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM
• Sun 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, access points, and critical infrastructure areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, directing visitors according to site procedures, and documenting visitor, contractor, and delivery activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed by procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrol observations, incidents, access-related events, and equipment concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
