Job summary

• Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify credentials and document observations.
• Maintain a professional presence and communicate with site personnel, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol First Aid Response in Elk Grove Village, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. You will communicate professionally, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service while working with a reliable, innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or client representatives by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access policies, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating information according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and document observations, incidents, and patrol activities in required reports.
• Assist with maintaining a professional presence at the property and communicate clearly with site personnel, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• A state, county, or city-issued security professional license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
