Job summary

Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Guard - Full Time - Mornings in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, patrol, and deliver exceptional customer service in an industrial setting.

Position is Full Time with a pay rate of $28.00 per hour. Workdays are Wed-Sat mornings, providing a reliable presence on site and strong teamwork within a dedicated security team.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and emergency response activities at an industrial location.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, issuing visitor badges, maintaining visitor logs, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Respond to access control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, access points, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of access activity, incidents, deliveries, and/or unusual occurrences, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

What You'll Do
