Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard Full Time Highrise Building Patrol in San Diego, CA. You will safeguard clients across retail and other facilities, patrol assigned areas, deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service while upholding site policies.

The role requires security experience, the ability to lift 20+ pounds, and passage of background and drug screenings. This is a full-time, on-site position with a consistent day/evening schedule.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.

As a Security Guard Full Time Highrise Building Patrolin San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment for shoppers and staff while responding to security-related concerns. Pay Rate: $21.25 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, tenants, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the retail location, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe activity within the location, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
