Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting observations according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of transportation facilities, transit platforms, parking areas, surrounding grounds, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public spaces; assist with directing visitors and reporting suspicious activity, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and daily documentation while communicating professionally with transit operations staff, law enforcement, and emergency responders as needed.

As a Security Guard Full Time Driver Route Patrol in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a public transportation location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service to employees, passengers, and visitors. Pay Rate: $22.83 / Hour

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
