Allied Universal is hiring a Security Guard - Full Time - Afternoons/Overnights in Muscatine, IA. The role involves safeguarding clients across manufacturing and industrial sites, with unarmed patrols, access control, and customer service to maintain a welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

You will work a rotating schedule with afternoon and overnight shifts, perform patrols, answer alarms, and report incidents following site procedures.

Qualifications

• 1) Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• 2) Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 3) Background investigation per federal, state, local laws.
• 4) Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories.
• 5) Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• 6) Licensing requirements may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and following site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, offices, parking areas, access points, and facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor, contractor, and employee activity per site procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and unusual conditions and communicate to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

What You'll Do:

• Monitor access points and visitor, contractor, and employee activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and unusual conditions accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
