Pilgrim's is seeking a Security Guard Front Gate for the 2nd shift (2pm to 10pm) in De Queen, Arkansas. The role focuses on monitoring plant activity, safeguarding personnel, and ensuring compliance with company procedures to maintain productivity and safety.

Responsibilities include monitoring gate and transit activities, weighing trailers, answering after-hours calls, and supervising entry/exit operations while following all safety and security policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Strong computer skills preferred.
• Ability to walk more than one mile on varying terrain in all weather and up/down stairs.
• Ability to perform assigned tasks without direct supervision.
• Ability to communicate effectively under stress.

• Minimum High School diploma or GED.

General Summary :

This position is responsible for assuring all procedures are followed in achieving the highest level or productivity in the most cost-efficient manner possible. Make sure all reporting requirements are met.

General Description:

• Monitors plant activity.
• Hourly rounds (checking trailer temps, room temps, and gates).
• Monitor all associates entering and existing building including car traffic.
• Weight master scales, weighing trailers in and out.
• Answering switchboard after hours.
• Billing loads.
• Follow and implement company policies.
• Operate company owned vehicles
• Inspect trailers for cleanliness and operability
• Receive shipments of supplies and raw materials

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to work in security guard shacks, security vehicles in hot and cold conditions
• Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
• Must be able to walk, run, sit and stand for extended periods of time
• Lift up to 50lbs.
