Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed Customer Service Patrol) in West Chicago, IL. You’ll patrol and safeguard a manufacturing/industrial site, provide superior customer service, deter incidents, and respond to security events using handheld devices or tablets.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 18+ (21+ for armed), and a background check. This role offers flexible, part-time hours with a pay rate of $19.60 per hour and opportunities

• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities with clear reports.

Pay Rate: $19.60 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Tue 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including production areas, parking lots, access points, and the perimeter.
• Observe and report unusual activity, hazards, unauthorized access, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities through clear and accurate reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
