Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer (Enhanced) in Scranton, PA to provide dependable, flexible coverage and support the security of a healthcare facility. The role offers fixed shifts with opportunities to pick up additional shifts via the Earn More program and to scale hours toward a full schedule, up to 40 hours per week.

Pay rate is $19.00 per hour, with daytime shifts on Fridays from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation as per federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required as a condition of employment where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established healthcare facility protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor screening, directions, and adherence to site-specific access requirements.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Asset Protection in Scranton, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTime Fri 04:30 PM - 08:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (Anchor Shifts): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
