Job summary

Allied Universal in Atlanta, GA seeks a Part Time Enhanced Security Officer to provide reliable security and customer service for a commercial property.

Fixed shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, offering income stability and growth potential. The pay rate is $19.67 per hour, with a Saturday schedule 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM. This role emphasizes safety and professional conduct within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Must have supervisory experience.
• Minimum five years of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or property management personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access to the property, verify visitor and contractor authorization as directed by site procedures, and maintain awareness of activity at entrances and common areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document events.
• Prepare accurate activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership.

Pay Rate: $19.67 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Sat 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document events according to site-specific procedures.
• Prepare accurate activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs, and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and property representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have supervisory experience.
• Must have at least five years of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
