Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Atlanta, GA to provide flexible, dependable security coverage at a designated site.

This role emphasizes customer service, unarmed access control, and incident response with opportunities to earn more by picking up shifts through our scheduling platform.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site‑specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, directing individuals to appropriate locations and reporting unauthorized access concerns.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Access Patrol in Atlanta, GA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeTue10:00 AM - 06:00 PMThur10:00 AM - 06:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
