Qualifications

• 2+ years of security experience required.
• At least 1 year of armed security or law enforcement experience required.
• At least 1 year of law enforcement/2 years security supervisory/3 years security experience required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to restaurant employees, guests, vendors, and visitors while carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of dining areas, exterior grounds, parking, delivery zones, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and deter unauthorized entry, theft, vandalism, or disruptive behavior.
• Respond to incidents and guest concerns calmly and professionally; notify site contacts or emergency responders when needed.
• Document incidents and patrol activity according to Allied Universal procedures.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Patrol Deployment in Houston, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur – 09:00 PM - 03:00 AM
• Sun – 09:00 PM - 03:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to restaurant employees, guests, vendors, and/or visitors while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of restaurant dining areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, delivery zones, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe activity throughout the location, and help to deter unauthorized entry, theft, vandalism, and/or disruptive behavior.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Document incidents, patrol activity, and security‑related observations according to Allied Universal and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security‑related experience is required.
• At least 1 year of armed security‑related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
• At least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security‑related supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security‑related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
