Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part‑time Security Officer in Chicago, IL to provide dependable, flexible security services at a designated site. You will participate in fixed anchor shifts and have the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings.

Responsibilities include customer service, monitoring access points, incident response, and regular patrols of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, reporting unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, maintaining professional communication with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Communications Patrol in Chicago, IL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate

Pay Rate: $20.50 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Sat 09:00 AM - 01:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
