Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring for a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced at Staten Island, NY. The role offers fixed shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts to boost earnings, and a path to full‑time work up to 40 hours per week.

• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.

• Provide customer service to passengers, employees, contractors, and visitors while carrying out site‑specific procedures and security‑related policies at ferry terminals, vessels, and adjacent facilities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of terminals, docks, boarding areas, parking areas, perimeter locations, and other assigned public transportation property to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, screen or verify authorized access as assigned, and report suspicious persons, unattended items, hazardous conditions, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; communicate with dispatch, site management, and emergency responders as needed.
• Carry and maintain authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site procedures; complete accurate activity and incident reports.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Armed Incident Response in Staten Island, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $33.70 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 08:15 AM - 04:45 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.
