Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Armed guard card or license.
• Corrections officer license.
• Law enforcement officer license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Qualified applicants with criminal histories considered as per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government law-enforcement location, following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points, verify entry, document observations and patrol activity.
• Assist with emergency response and coordinate with onsite law enforcement and public-service agencies when directed.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government law‑enforcement location by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, maintain awareness of visitor and vehicle activity, and document observations, incidents, and patrol activity as required.
• Assist with emergency response, communications, and coordination with onsite law‑enforcement personnel and/or public‑service agencies when directed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Possess a corrections officer license.
• Possess a law enforcement officer license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
