Allied Universal® in Miami, FL is seeking a Security Guard Armed Patrol with a valid guard card to protect government facilities. This full-time role involves patrolling, monitoring access points, and responding to incidents with professionalism and clear communication.

You will perform armed patrols, verify entry permissions, generate accurate reports, and support a safe, customer-focused environment. Minimum requirements include an armed guard card or license, age 21+, and a background check;

Qualifications

• Armed guard card or license required.
• DD214 with honorable discharge, associate degree or 60 college credits, police/corrections academy certificates.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or batons preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state; driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and per protocol.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter zones.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry to restricted areas.
• Prepare accurate patrol and incident reports and maintain documentation.

As a Security Guard Armed Patrol Guard Card Required in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to situations as they arise. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, team-oriented culture. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour

Job Schedule:

This is a full-time position. You can expect to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. The schedule for this position has not been assigned yet. If you are selected to move forward, your schedule will be determined as you progress through the hiring, onboarding, and training process. Your manager will work with you to assign a schedule based on business needs before your start date.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, helping to maintain controlled access to restricted areas and government property.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or batons is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
