Job summary

Allied Universal in Miami, FL is seeking a Security Guard Full Time Armed Associate Degree Patrol to serve government facilities with a visible presence and exceptional customer service.

The Armed Guard Card and a degree or 60 college credits are required, along with a background check and drug screen. This is a driving post with a schedule including Thursday through Saturday shifts, paying $22.26 per hour.

Qualifications

• Armed guard/protected-site experience preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Able to work in a government facility.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and the public by carrying out site-specific security procedures and access-control policies.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and vehicle logs, and report concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations following established protocols.
• Prepare clear reports regarding patrols, incidents, and policy violations.

Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour

• Thur: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Fri: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Sat: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorizations, maintain visitor and vehicle logs, and report access-control concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and coordinating with appropriate emergency personnel when needed.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and policy violations, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Possess a DD214 with an Honorable Discharge, an Associate’s Degree, 60 college credits, a Police Academy Certificate, or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
• This is primarily a driving post.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Baton Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
