Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Hospital Security Guard in Fountain Valley, CA. You will safeguard patients, visitors, and staff, provide exceptional customer service, and maintain a visible deterrent to incidents within a healthcare setting.

You will conduct regular patrols, respond calmly to emergencies, assist with access control, and document incidents for site leadership. A Guard Card/License is required; CPR and firearms permits are preferred.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $27.55 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital grounds, entrances, parking areas, common areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Assist with access control, visitor management, and directions while maintaining a professional presence and supporting a welcoming environment.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or responding personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• A valid Firearms Permit is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
