Job summary

Pilgrims is seeking a Security Guard to monitor plant activity, perform hourly rounds, and ensure post orders are completed daily. You will also weigh trailers, answer after-hours switchboard calls, and help maintain secure facilities.

The role requires strong English communication, basic computer skills, and the ability to work any shift in all weather conditions. Prior security experience is a plus; high school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the Security Guard Supervisor.
• Complete location Post Orders daily.
• Monitors plant activity and gate access.
• Hourly rounds checking trailer temps, room temps, and gates.
• Monitor all associates entering and exiting the building including car traffic.
• Weigh trailers at the weigh scales and manage entries/exits.
• Receive shipments and assist with receiving supplies and materials.

Security Guard

DESCRIPTION:

• Reports to the Security Guard Supervisor
• Responsible for ensuring location Post Orders are completed daily
• Monitors plant activity.
• Hourly rounds (checking trailer temps, room temps, and gates).
• Monitor all associates entering and existing building including car traffic.
• Weight master scales, weighing trailers in and out.
• Answering switchboard after hours.
• Billing loads.
• Follow and implement company policies.
• Operate company owned vehicles
• Inspect trailers for cleanliness and operability
• Receive shipments of supplies and raw materials

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to read, write and speak in English
• Strong computer skills preferred
• Ability to walk more than one mile, on varying terrain, in all weather conditions, and up/down stairs
