Job summary

Cove Forge is seeking an experienced security/protection professional to monitor all persons and/or vehicles entering or leaving our facility. The role offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus for full-time employment and a starting salary of $15.00 per hour with opportunities for growth and flexible scheduling.

Essential duties include directing visitors, maintaining logs, guiding emergency responders, and ensuring safety within the lobby and parking areas.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Two or more years’ experience in security, corrections or military.

Responsibilities

• Assist, direct and monitor all persons entering and leaving the facility property.
• Keep accurate log books, as required.
• Direct emergency personnel arriving on facility property and maintain flow of traffic during emergencies.
• Communicate incoming admissions, visits and deliveries to appropriate staff.
• Monitor parking area to ensure no loitering or misconduct, sweep the facility.
• Interact with staff and patients in a professional manner.
• Report any suspicious behavior to the CEO, supervisor or leadership.

This position requires:

• HS Diploma or GED required
• Professional and courteous demeanor
• Basic computer knowledge for emails/charting
• Acceptable driver's license preferred, but not required

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

Responsible for monitoring all persons and/or vehicles entering or leaving facility property.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assist, direct and monitor all persons entering and leaving the facility property.
• Keep accurate log books, as required.
• Direct emergency personnel arriving on facility property and maintain flow of traffic during emergencies, such as fire drills.
• Communicate incoming admissions, visits and deliveries to appropriate staff.
• Monitor parking area to ensure that no loitering or misconduct takes place, monitor lobby area and do frequent sweeps of the entire facility.
• Interact with staff and patients in a professional manner at all times.
• Report any suspicious behavior to the CEO, supervisor or a member of leadership.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two or more years’ experience in security, corrections or military.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Valid state driver's license.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility.
