Nexus at River Oaks in Burnham, IL is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to help maintain a safe living environment for residents and staff. You will patrol the property, respond to security concerns, and assist with emergencies while upholding resident dignity and comfort.

The role emphasizes strong communication, de-escalation skills, and the ability to work with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent certification.
• Registered as a security officer, preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly developed de-escalation skills preferred.
• Experience in patrol and responding to safety incidents is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the property, securing personnel, the facility, residents, and the perimeter.
• Investigate incidents and take appropriate lawful action as directed by the company.

Position Overview:

This role supports facility safety by monitoring the premises, responding to security concerns, and assisting with emergency situations while promoting resident dignity and comfort.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol the property, securing personnel, the facility, residents, and the perimeter.
• You will investigate and take the appropriate lawful action, as directed by the company, any accidents, incidents, trespassing, suspicious activities and safety issues.
• You will communicate with law enforcement, emergency medical personnel, and fire departments in an effective manner.
• You will immediately respond to any situations of importance concerning safety.
