Job summary

Harboroaks in Reading, PA is seeking a vigilant Security Officer to monitor all entry points and maintain safety on facility grounds. The role requires calm judgment, clear communication, and reliable shift performance.

You will enforce access controls, respond to incidents, and coordinate with staff and emergency responders while upholding professional conduct and compliance with licensing requirements. This is a full-time position with standard security duties.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in security, corrections or military.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility.

• Monitor parking area to ensure that no loitering or misconduct takes place, monitor lobby area and do frequent sweeps of the entire facility.
• Interact with staff and patients in a professional manner at all times.
• Report any suspicious behavior to the CEO, supervisor or a member of leadership.
