Securitas US Business Unit is hiring a Security Guard to protect people and assets at our Vancouver, WA site. The role involves patrolling premises, monitoring systems, and controlling access to maintain a safe environment.

Responsibilities include responding to emergencies, enforcing policies, and ensuring compliance. A High School Diploma or GED and strong observation and communication skills are required, with pre-employment screening mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of premises including buildings, parking lots, and entry points.
• Monitor surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and security equipment.
• Control building access by verifying IDs and managing visitor logs.
• Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, emergencies and incidents.
• Enforce security protocols and company rules for premises, personnel, and visitors.
• Inspect doors, windows, gates and equipment to prevent unauthorized access.
• Investigate suspicious activities and security breaches.

Security Guard — Full Time

Site Location: Vancouver, WA

Wage: $21.00/HR

Schedules:

• 1) Tuesday - Friday 10pm-6am
• 2) Sunday - Thursday 2pm-10pm
• 3) Tuesday - Saturday 2pm-10pm

The Security Officer protects people, property, and assets by patrolling premises, monitoring systems, controlling access, and responding to emergencies to maintain a safe and secure environment. They serve as a helpful professional resource while ensuring everyone on the property follows safety protocols.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Prior Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must have the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgement and use appropriate escalation.
• Must have strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and quick decision-making capabilities.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
