Job summary

Acts Retirement-Life Communities seeks a Security Guard to protect residents, staff and visitors, and safeguard property across the community. You will perform proactive patrols and monitor access and life-safety systems to deter misconduct and promote a secure environment.

Responsibilities include responding to medical emergencies, fire alarms, and security incidents with a visible presence. The role emphasizes prompt, calm action and collaboration with team members to maintain safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Previous security, law enforcement, or emergency services experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and CPR/AED/First Aid certs (or within 3 months).

Acts is currently seeking qualified candidates for our Security Guard position.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of residents, team members, visitors, and property through proactive patrols, monitoring security cameras, access control, and other life-safety systems. Responds promptly to medical emergencies, fire alarms, and security incidents while maintaining a visible presence to deter misconduct and proactively promote a safe and secure environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, emergency services, or a related field (preferred)
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
• Must possess and maintain current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications (or obtain within three months of employment)

Pay Range

$17.00 - $21.29 / hour. Starting rate will vary based on skills and experience.
