Job summary

Kinder Morgan is seeking a security professional to help safeguard our port facility in the United States. The role requires vigilance, incident reporting, and coordination with on-site teams to protect people and assets.

The candidate will work a 24-hour operation with a high school diploma, and at least 1 year of physical security experience. Proficiency in Microsoft tools and strong teamwork are required to succeed in this role.

What We Are Looking For

What You Will Do

• Accounting for all people entering the facility
• Roving patrol to ensure security of the facility
• Monitoring marine radio for interfacing with ships entering the port
• Performing safety orientation for visitors/3rd parties
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license

What You Need

Minimum requirements:

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience / specific knowledge:

• The ability to work from written and verbal instructions
• Positively interact with customers and respond to customer inquiries
• Able to work with a team and adhere to required work schedules
• Attention to detail
• 1 year of physical security experience
• Overtime may be required
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
• Use internet for information gathering
• Flexible schedule to work required shifts (24-hour operation)
• Maintain professional composure other duties as assigned

Physical demands:

• Must be capable of occasional lifting and carrying of up to 25lbs

Working conditions:

• Must be capable of sitting /standing for extended periods of time
• Must have manual/metal dexterity to operate telephones, 2-way radios, calculators and computers
• Subject to background check
• Subject to random drug testing

Preferred education, experience, certifications, competencies, skills, and abilities:

Above the minimum requirements; not required but advantageous in this position:

• Military police experience preferred
