Duties include conducting routine patrols on property to detect and prevent fire, theft, and vandalism; reporting safety hazards; responding to calls for service and complaints; providing security for over 200 acres and twenty buildings; managing traffic during events; and assisting Law Enforcement Officers with investigations on NCDA&CS properties.
Applicants must demonstrate knowledge of safety, surveillance, and security practices; policies and regulations; emergency reporting methods; and possess a valid NC Driver's License. Additional skills include operating security equipment, patrolling, quick emergency response, communication, report writing, physical endurance, and ability to work extended hours, including weekends.
Experience with CCTV systems and large venues with over 50,000 attendees is preferred.
High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience. EMT certification may be required.
