Job Description

As a Security Guard - Campus Location in Cary, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more.

As an unarmed patrol officer in a leading technology environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and support a secure atmosphere. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, assisting with access control, and providing exceptional customer service and communication to all individuals on site. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, always putting people first and acting with integrity while delivering outstanding service in a dynamic location.

Pay Rate: $19.88 / Hour

Day Time

Mon 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM

Tue 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM

Wed 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM

Thur 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM

Fri 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity by maintaining a visible presence and observing for unusual behavior.
• Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and maintenance issues according to site protocols.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points as required by site policies.
• Collaborate with site staff and law enforcement when necessary to address incidents or emergencies.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 1 year of security experience is required.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• North Carolina Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
