Job summary

Stellar Senior Living in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a dedicated Security Guard to protect residents, staff, and property at The Montebello on Academy. You will patrol, monitor access, and respond to incidents to maintain a safe environment for seniors.

The ideal candidate has prior security experience, a strong sense of integrity, and excellent communication skills. This part-time or full-time position offers benefits and flexible scheduling in a caring, team-focused setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in written form and cooperate effectively with others.
• Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position.
• Trained security officer with diploma.
• Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols.
• Surveillance skills with orientation to detail.
• Integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Protect company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
• Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances.
• Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property.
• Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences and develop reports for leadership.
• Report in detail (verbally and in written form) any suspicious incidents.
• Patrol building and perimeter randomly and regularly.
• Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates.
• Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment.

Our Maintenance Director oversees keeping our residents living areas well-kept and serviced to high standards. You should also be able to resolve resident complaint and queries promptly and in a polite manner. You are the right candidate if you are pleasant, detailed oriented and friendly.
