Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. in the United States seeks a Security Compliance Specialist II to support the CTG security and compliance program. You will partner with engineering, security, and business teams to implement and maintain compliance with industry and regulatory frameworks.

You will evaluate security controls, collect evidence, identify gaps, drive remediation, and work across cloud and on‑premise environments to strengthen governance, risk, and compliance (GRC).

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in security/compliance.
• Understanding of cloud computing concepts and cloud platforms.
• Familiar with IAM, networking, encryption, logging and vulnerability management.
• Experience with frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, NIST, HIPAA.
• Familiar with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Akamai Cloud/Linode).
• Experience using GRC platforms (ServiceNow IRM, Archer, AuditBoard, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Partnering with engineering teams to assess the implementation of security controls.
• Evaluating compliance with industry frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and HIPAA.
• Collecting, validating, and organizing audit evidence for internal and external reviews.
• Performing control testing to verify that documented processes operate effectively.
• Tracking remediation activities and assisting system owners with resolving findings.
• Reviewing technical documentation including architecture diagrams, SOPs, and change records.
