Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Security Compliance Specialist II to support the CTG security and compliance program.

You will collaborate with engineering, security, and business teams to implement and maintain regulatory compliance across SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and HIPAA frameworks. You will collect, validate, and organize audit evidence, perform control testing, and track remediation activities, helping system owners resolve findings while reviewing architecture diagrams, SOPs, and

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in security/compliance or related field.
• Understanding of cloud computing concepts and cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with security concepts including IAM, networking, encryption, logging, and vulnerability management.
• Experience with one or more frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, NIST, HIPAA).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Akamai Cloud/Linode).
• Experience using GRC platforms (ServiceNow IRM, Archer, AuditBoard, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Partner engineering teams to assess the implementation of security controls.
• Evaluate compliance with SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and HIPAA.
• Collect, validate, and organize audit evidence for internal and external reviews.
• Perform control testing to verify that documented processes operate effectively.
• Track remediation activities and assist system owners with resolving findings.
• Review technical documentation including architecture diagrams, SOPs, and change records.
