Job summary

Akamai seeks a Security Compliance Specialist II in Cambridge, MA to drive governance for our security program. You will partner with engineering, security, and business teams to implement controls and collect audit evidence across SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and HIPAA.

You will test controls, track remediation, and review architecture docs to ensure compliant operations and secure cloud deployments. 2+ years' experience with a related degree is expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience and Bachelor's degree in related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
• Demonstrate understanding of cloud computing concepts and cloud platforms.
• Be familiar with security concepts including IAM, networking, encryption, logging, and vulnerability management.
• Show Experience with one or more frameworks (e.g. SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, NIST, HIPAA).
• Have familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Akamai Cloud/Linode).
• Have experience using GRC platforms (ServiceNow IRM, Archer, AuditBoard, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Partnering with engineering teams to assess the implementation of security controls
• Evaluating compliance with industry frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and HIPAA
• Collecting, validating, and organizing audit evidence for internal and external reviews
• Performing control testing to verify that documented processes operate effectively
• Tracking remediation activities and assisting system owners with resolving findings
• Reviewing technical documentation including architecture diagrams, SOPs, and change records
