Job summary

Leadout Capital is seeking a technically strong Security Governance professional to bridge security and compliance requirements with engineering implementation. You will partner with Engineering, Product Security, Legal, and other stakeholders to translate insights into scalable governance requirements across systems.

The role focuses on evaluating control design and operation across platforms, infrastructure, and cloud environments, with an emphasis on building practical, scalable governance

Qualifications

• Strong technical background in security engineering, cloud security, product security, IAM, platform engineering, or security architecture.
• Ability to translate security, risk, regulatory, or compliance requirements into technical implementation requirements.
• Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, SOC, SOX, FedRAMP or similar.

Responsibilities

• Bridge Assurance and Engineering: act as a technical liaison ensuring governance requirements are feasible, understandable, and implementable.
• Evaluate how security and compliance controls are implemented within applications, platforms, and cloud environments.
• Create feedback loops to improve control design, standards, and governance processes.
• Make requirements engineer-usable by translating regulatory expectations into actionable technical specs.
• Develop second-line oversight protocols to monitor and validate controls across engineering teams.
• Understand systems end-to-end to inform risk decisions.
• Assess risk in M&A and design activation plans tied to the risk model.
• Partner on emerging security requirements with multiple teams.
